@auroraeosrose I think significant whitespace just amplifies what is already there. In Python significant whitespace reinforces a clear and sensible structure. In YAML it accelerates the death spiral into chaos and despair that is the YAML syntax.

@auroraeosrose Jupyter notebooks use Reveal.js, and can be a pretty cool way to build a presentation. They can even execute PHP code.

@auroraeosrose You and I use very different units in that sentence.

@lornajane I think the things you ought to do are the things you wish you could do. The community owes you that. /cc @auroraeosrose

@coates @auroraeosrose @funkatron s/the Jeep/all vehicles/

@auroraeosrose I catch myself doing that a lot still. Breaking the habit.

RT @auroraeosrose: if you're using version control… you don't have to comment out code that's no longer used #Petpeeveoftheday

@auroraeosrose Agreed. I paid for it, but I like knowing there are more than one set of eyeballs on the code when things go wrong.

@auroraeosrose github.com/Codeux/Textual Code is open source. You can build it yourself.

@auroraeosrose I've been quite happy with Textual for a bit now. You should give it a shot.

@auroraeosrose That is to say, would it have the practical effect of making anything more portable in a reasonable way?

@auroraeosrose Curious about your thoughts on POSIX as a Windows guru. Would compliance on Windows make the OSS situation better?

@auroraeosrose People want validation of their choice. And to believe that it is the only choice that could possibly be right. Dumb.

@auroraeosrose I think plenty of people make an informed choice to use OS X or Linux or Windows, but it gets cliquey. Like iOS v. Android.

@auroraeosrose Was just debating this today with a Windows user who dismissed OS X without cause. "So what makes it /bad/?" /cc @funkatron

@auroraeosrose It's National Lie to Myself Before Giving Up After a Few Weeks Month again already? I celebrate this instead of #NaNoWriMo.

@auroraeosrose Looking forward to hearing what you get up to next! I have no doubt that @OmniTI will miss you.

@chartjes It seems like they are cutting themselves for you! /cc @auroraeosrose

@auroraeosrose I'm not sure anyone wants Ebay to have commit privileges on their open source project. :-)

@auroraeosrose My friends in Detroit are already complaining, so I can only imagine the kind of snow you must be getting! Stay warm!

@auroraeosrose Now that is a sentiment I can get behind! Though to be fair, almost all of them, including Obama have observed in some way.

@auroraeosrose See my last tweet @CalEvans.

@auroraeosrose I can't complain! Crosby is on my team. :-)

@auroraeosrose Yowza! That is a joke, right? Perhaps Zend should output hidden paragraphs full of thousands of keywords too.

@auroraeosrose Do they even HAVE PDFs in Sturgis? I'm doubtful.

@auroraeosrose That kid really puts the pee in pwned. (And to make that joke, I had to break my cardinal rule of words I should never use.)

@auroraeosrose Are you working in reverse?

@auroraeosrose If I was a pig, I would have a serious problem with your sense of amusement.

@auroraeosrose That's right, 23. Time to buy life insurance and look into retirement communities. Thanks! :-)

@auroraeosrose Sounds more like riding a bike while juggling a chainsaw, wrestling an alligator and solving advanced calculus.

@auroraeosrose Fine, stupid question. :-) Last time I tried to defrost like half a pound on the two pound setting. Worked better this time.

@auroraeosrose Ask not what PHP can do for you, but what you can do for PHP. Or ask both.

@auroraeosrose All I can say is "wow."

@auroraeosrose Die Hard is a guilty pleasure of mine too!

@auroraeosrose Actually these days at Western you would get points deducted for using two spaces.

@auroraeosrose Me too. In fact, I'd love to make my whole living room a light box.

@auroraeosrose Actually... your breakfast doesn't sound too bad. Maybe we should trade.

@auroraeosrose Tell me about it... took me forever to get into Pennsylvania. Which way were you headed?

@auroraeosrose I'll give it a read this weekend, if you'd like.
