So they might be paid by TCL to review TVs just as a new TCL model becomes available. Maybe (hopefully) they don’t do it (anymore?).

@Carnage4Life This is exactly why Wirecutter became so popular. Unfortunately those reviews become very valuable once you have that trust, and many will cave in to selling placement just like Wirecutter did.
